This blog brings back the nostalgic moment of Philippine’s Golden Age Comics. Looking back at the rich history of the Filipino comics tradition, this blog contains complete segment of “Unang Labas”.
Steve,Si Joya, nag-komiks din? Saan lupalop mo nadiskubre ito? Mayroon din akong gawang komiks noon, I can't remember the publication. Thanks for sharing this. And Happy New Year.Rod Samonte
Thanks Rod. Si Romulo Olazo i-ipost ko rin ang gawang komiks niya. Tandaan ko magkasama kayo nagpunta sa bahay noon around Mid 70sSteve
Steve,Good to hear from you. Ha? Si Ola may komiks din? Do you happen to have a picture of that visit? Oo, nagbabasketball ka pa ata. May komiks din ako, I guess many artists wanted to do that at start their art career that way, since it was the most visible art media, wala pang mga galleries noon, except sa Mabini. But you won't be able to find my komiks, I can't even remember the publication. It was a really small, fledgling publication near UST (not Miranda). Then, I also signed my name as Troy Samonte, hahaha. Sikat kasi noon si Troy Donahue. It was probably published around 1963. By the way, you can also email me directly at email@example.comRod
Thank you Sir Steve. Please upload also Prinsipe Villarba of Liwayway and Don Cobarde also if you have those issues. THanks a lot.
