I don't know if it's true, according to some collectors the first issue of a Coching-Javinal tandem was always drawn by FV Coching himself but the credit goes to FC Javinal.

Vic Vargas as Colonel Artemio Ricarte Filipino soldier patriot revolutionary & military officer father of the Philippine Army & supported by Japan during WW2 until he died due to dysentery & gunshot wounds was killed by American troops & Filipino anti-Japanese guerillas & Philippine government forces in 1945 & became a hero & martyr to the Filipinos in world history.
